ruger 22/45 holster
Hello friends,
My good buddy got a 22/45 for his b-day and I want to get a holster for him for the holidays. I was looking at the paddle holsters and pancake holsters from uncle mikes and gun mate.
does anyone out there know if these are good choices and what size would fit best? The classifications don't seem to fit...it is a .22, but I would not call it a small frame pistol.
all help is appreciated
Thanks
Walt

the REAL problem with any holster for a Ruger .22 semi auto is the front site. The backwards angle and sharpness seems to always snag. and the holsters with the site guides in them don't seem to be too comfortable because they are so stiff.
Good Luck but remember don't simply purchase a holster for this gun because someone makes one to fit. try to find a shop that has something in stock, then put the gun in it BEFORE you pay!
That front site is a real stinker to deal with.0 -
Ed, is right about the front sight, The fish hook will snag EVERYTHING! I have a want-ad now for a different sight. I can remember a few years back someone was selling them. Anyone know who sells a NON- FISH HOOK sight for the Ruger MKII ???[:)]
