Handload for 3o-30 and 44 Rem mag
I can't find my reloading books and I need an accurate (not hot) load for a 30-30 150 gr using Dupont 3031? and 240 jacket/or lead using 2400. I want an accurate load but more on the mild side rather than a jaw rattler. Guns are Win 94 and SW 29

For the 3030 using IMR 3031 & 150grn jacketed bullet use 28.8grns
For the 44mag using 2400 & 240grn bullet, use 20grns.

Something interesting to try:
I loaded 168 grain hollow point boattail match bullets in 30/30 one time just to see what the Marlin was capable of. With just a 4x scope The rifle shot 3/4" !! Of course you single load them and don't use the tube mag.
The 30/30 is really not bad if you do your part [8D]

Actually, I also loaded (spire points, and as a single shot the groups were 1 1/4 from all my 94's which really is amazing but it's been a few years and you definitely don't want those finding there way into the magazine. From experience I know it will happen sooner or later so I don't do it anymore. Thanks, and I agree with you. 0
