1860 colt conversion
I have in the shop what appears to be an 1860 colt conversion. It is centerfire and will chamber a 45 colt cartridge. The cylinder is marked colt patent 9933. the serial no. on barrel, frame, grip,and back strap are all matching. No. 199933 brass trigger guard, steel grip strap.
I tried to post picures, but couldn't figure out how to do that. Any information appreciated. Thanks.

The Mason/Richards Conversions of the 1860 Army were in 44 caliber.Never heard of a 60 in .45...You positive about the Caliber? Sounds like this is a question for the Colt Doctor...hmmm.... Maybe a 72 OpenTop? Nah..The caliber is Wrong...

Appears to be all colt. even the cylender is marked colt patient no. 9933, and the pictures match the 1860 colt. If I know how to post pictures on this site, I could show more of the converson. I don't think it is a mason richards, and it definetly will chamber the 45 colt. 0 -
