BEST RUST PREVENTATIVE EVER FOUND
[:D] For the Gentleman with the winchester 94 and any others .I stumbled on to one of the best oils to protect your guns by accident way back in 1982 when I purchased a Beeman R8 air rifle. The one kit I bought at that time had a bottle of .what they called back then MP5 oil. it is now refered to as Beeman Metalophilic (metal seeking) Compound No.5 extra Strenght Rust Inhibiting Oil. The MP (polarized molecules) seek metal and repel water.. it lubes and protects without gumming, neutralizes sweat.Dries to a thin almost invisable film (doesn't feel oily) that lasts thru indefinite storage. I have used this stuff and only this stuff for yrs. I stored that air rifle in a soft case(yea i know better) under the sofa way back then for six months at a time ...with no rust developing anywhere.I've had my lever actions out in down pours and just blew the water off with the air compressor.it just beads up almost like it was waxed. full tear down after the two week season, no signs of rust even trying to start. I keep a peice of tee shirt dampened with it to wipe all weapons after handling.I was alomst out of it . it comes in a 4oz bottle that will last a LONG time . One Q tip wetted with the stuff will protect your whole gun the # for Beeman 714-890-4800 I just took from the bottle. As i was not able to find a outlet else where. there may be better out there ,but I haven't found it yet. One NO! NO! is " WD 40 " it works well with 0000 steel wool to clean up light rust, but will give you no protection , in fact it will wash away and oil or grease flim you may have.Don't beleive me?? I buy it by the gallon and use it as a grease and paint remover on my hands. when I worked at the one shop a revenue agent lady brought her S&W revolver in ,couldn't work it single or double action...it was locked up. upon the removal of the side plate the innards were all orange rusted crusted ...know how she cleaned her servive revolver. with WD 40 that was all I had to see convinced me. Have any of your had any experience with this stuff or have any thing that work as well. My friend worked in a Machine shop and said they had an oil with tyhe same properties to coat finished tools [;)] Snake oil ??? Don't knock it you haven't tried it. When I last ordered they wanted 4-5 buck a bottle so with the shipping Iwas going to order a case ,all they had was 4 bottles so I bought them all..[;)]...

Chaser, this'll likely get poofed since this is the "ask the experts" forum and you're not asking anything...
I appreciate the review, but many won't. You should maybe take the topic over to the general discussion forum.
BTW, many people like the Blue Gun Wonder Cleaner (dunno if they have lube or not).0 -
I wrote the number down, and first thing monday morning I'll order some. Thanks for posting, although it would have been better to post in G.D. and then comment on the specific thread in ask the experts. But I again thank you. Just out of curiosity I'll get it to the oil lab and let you know how it really stacks up. The chances are that somebody else makes it for them, I can probably figure out who sells the identical oil but at a much lower cost to you.

I should be able to pick up a bottle and have it broke down in the first week or so of the year. I'll let you know what's in it, and what makes it's magic work.
