It's quite possible that the mere possession of this ammo could be a real legal problem if you aren't in law enforcement. Maybe someone else could advise as to what to do you should do with it. Selling it would likely get you time in the Graybar Hotel.

This is a gray area. Technically, sale of the ammo is illegal. Sale of individual specimens to collectors is permitted (I can't find the cite to the pertinent ATF regs at the moment), but boxes may be a different matter. Individual rounds sell for $1 - $2 each. If you sell and the tariff is reasonable (cheap [:D]) I might be interested in one box for inventory for singles sales; I'd have to check my stock. I know one other dealer who might be interested in a box for the same purpose. Regardless of whom you sell it to, be very sure it is not prohibited by state or municipal law, as some places (IL comes to mind), even sales of individual collector specimens of many sorts of ammo is illegal and by shipping to that locale, you would be both subject to that law and in violation of Federal statutes related to honoring tighter controls by smaller political subdivisions. This is one of the relatively technical issues in the whole scheme of Federal regs on ammo and you need to be careful not to cross the line.
