.410 from 1900's?
I am curious about a .410 my grandpa gave me 40 years ago. It is supposedly from 1900 to 1910. After asking several gunsmiths, I finally (maybe) made some progress today. This gunsmith identified it as a pre-1920 Iver Johnson before he even handled it.
Here are the facts: single-shot gun has "Electric City stamped into the metal on the side. Has "A782576" stamped into the metal under the gun next to the trigger guard. Wood piece under the barrel pops off, then barrel unhinges and drops off. 782576 is stamped into metal hinge piece connected to bottom of barrel. 576 A is stamped into inside of wood piece that snaps in under barrel. I believe gun was purchased in NW Washington State. Any info would be most appreciated!

Found two references on your shotgun.
Both note that it was a "Hardware Gun" manufactured for the Wyeth Hardware and Manufacturing Co. of St. Joseph, Mo.
One of the references states that it was made by Crescent Fire Arms Co.0
