they are called Little Skeeter chamber mates and they work pretty good if you are only stepping down 1 or 2 gauges like you want from 20 to 28 or 410 cost is around $50 I think , I know my local Gander mountain has some on hand , I'm going down there today and will take a look at what they have and what the price is I will post back and let you know

    I have used the 410 er's in a 101 12 ga.
They were adequate for shot range, but had holes in the pattern at over 15 yds.

There are several packages of full length tubes that are not custom and you don't need to buy a "set" of all gages.

Like anything, if you just want to shot other gauges for fun, the short one's will go bang. If you want to shoot skeet or 5 stand, buy the full length because you'll be disapointed in the short tubes. The advantage of the 101 is that you don't have "set" triggers so you don't have to worry about setting the second shot.

    Good shooting.

As to the longer inserts that go all or most of the way down the barrel, they can be a pain to get out. The reason I know this is because at last years 4-H state trap shoot for the 4-H kids, a kid was shooting trap in both classes, 12 ga and 20 ga, useing the full length insert. He had to shoot the 20 gauge match first and when it came time to shoot the 12 gauge match, he like to never got the insert out of the barrel. There were several of us coaches trying to help get it out and finally did. His father told him that was going to be the last time for that. I noticed this year he had both a 12 ga gun and a 20 ga gun. We discourge our kids from useing them but I do know several adults that use them and like them. Just some thing to think about.

God protect me from my friends, I can take care of my enemies...

Thanks for the feedback. It appears I have four options: the full length chamber and barrel, the Chamber-mates, the Guage-Mate, or buy another shotgun or two.

Gander Mountain sells the Little Skeeters for $39.99 but they did not have any of the 20 to 410 in stock , but you can go to this site and order direct

My experience is similar to geeguy's. The chamber mates were fine for short work, but for real skeet or hunting purposes just didn't do the trick. The full length ones worked just fine and patterned about as well as my other factory .410's.
