    brb,
Let me be the first to welcome you to the forum.
The "99" in question was made in 1946.
Assuming there is no scope(or mounts),and with the
cracked stock, and having been "bored out",there will be
    little,if any,collector value.The Savage 1899/99 was made
for many years w/many different variations and many calibers.
A more thorough discription would aid us in identifying it
as far as what it "used" to be.As far as a good "shooter"
goes,it should do fine,as long as it mechanically sound.
But don't expect it to ever be worth much since it is
no longer in it's original configuration.I'd say in the
neighborhood of $225-250 tops, unless it is excellent
    condition other than the crack.

    Hope this helps,

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
    BW

If you want it as a shooter, look for the 99 in the original .308 Great gun.

I have two Model 99 Savages; one in .300 caliber with a catridge counter, the other a carbine in .308. Both are excellent guns. I've seen similar rifles at gunshows going for $250-$450 dependng on caliber and condition.

Great rifle; enjoy it. I have a "swing mount" that will fit; let me know if you can use it.
    Have fun, be careful!
