IMI 1911 45 auto

Does anyone know about the Israeli 1911 45 auto's? They were made by IMI but seems to discontinued. Will 1911 parts fit as with the other 45 clones, Rock Island etc? Could anyone tell me if they are as good as the Jericho?

  Sorry way to treat a new Forum Member! Welcome to the board! Yes, the parts are interchangeable; and the gun itself is O.K., as are most 1911-types. I believe that many of the standard parts for sale by some of the dealers in the Shotgun news and even by Brownells were made by IMI, that the parts were made domestically and not imported. I guess you are wishing to compare quality with your reference to the Jericho? About the same, but apples and oranges, really.
