Cleaning wood grips on colt
I have put together an old Colt 1903, and just bought some old wood grips for it, that look pretty good, but they are a bit grungy. Any tips on cleaning them up?

What's "Grungy?" Are they "oil soaked" or have they been varnished, ... What exactly is the problem with them? I have several solutions to some of the problems encountered with old guns and parts, but I can only address a specific thing. Let me know. Post of Picture if you can.

Best way to clean wood grips is with acetone and a stiff toothbrush. Some use bleach, but whichever you use, ventilate properly.
