J. STEVENS 32 shot on bar

this is a no 14 i THINK. IT HAVE A SMOOTH BORE.
AND a bead fr. sight Pat. apr. 17 94.
Is this a 32 fine shot??

    Without actually seeing a photo of the gun, it is a bit hard to make an ID. However, I have skimmed thru my Stevens catalog and find reference to a Stevens Crack Shot mdl. 16 1/2 which has the same specs as the mdl. 16 except bored smooth for .32 shot only. The barrel on this gun is 20" long and it has plain, open front and rear sights. Another possibility is the Stevens Favorite #20 which was made in .22 and .32 RF shot only and has a 22" barrel. Also, this gun has an open front sight only. Hope this is of some help. Emery

    thanks kid I think its a #20 but have a rear sight
    and part-octagonal barrel, also have a kurl nut
    on fr. of barrel it s.n is 68x. barrel is 22in
    to fireing pin. thanks again DON
