Looking for information
I just acquired from my 80 year old uncle an "original" octagon barrel Winchester lever action rifle. The markings on the top of the barrel read "Winchester's repeating arms New Haven, CT__" the rest of the letters or numbers are unreadable. It is also dated October 16, 1860 it may also have 1866 on it, other words/numbers are also unreadable. It has a 24' barrel, flip site, mostly brass except for the barrel, lever, hammer and the trigger.
My uncle got this gun at the age of 11, while playing hide-and-seek in a bamboo patch in Hawaii, it was found wrapped in a burlap bag.
I would just like to find out more information about this rifle, and is curious of what its value might be. Thankyou

I have a small .25 auto, made by Bauer Firearm Corp. I bought it as a
CCW for the EXwife. It is actully in great shape. Can anyone tell me some info on the weapon. I have looked for the company on the web, with no luck.

A case was submitted to a laboratory where a ruptured cartridge case was identified as having been discharged while the slide was partially opened. Examination revealed when the pistol was dropped on the butt, the momentum allowed the slide to partially open as the firing pin was jarred off the sear as the pistol hit the ground.

Basically they were an all stainless version of the Baby Browning .25acp. Mags, parts, grips interchange between the two guns. Although very common 20 years ago and still even 10 years ago, today they are harder to find and often will bring more than book value will indicate. 0 -
I've had a couple of the little Bauers come through over the years. Like the Colt Junior/Astra Cub, it is a well made little pistol. Not sure why it isn't in production anymore as I never had a problem with selling them or with customer returns.
Above warning notwithstanding and an anemic caliber, you have a nice pocket pistol.
