    What is the exact model you have in mind, how old is it, & what country is it in?

    I suggest that you get a copy of Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide (ATF P5300.4), and read Part 47 - Importation of Arms, Ammunition and Implements of War.

    In most cases it is extremely expensive and time consuming. If you can afford to import a Purdy custom made shotgun, it will be worth it to you. Otherwise is very likely is not.

    There are FFL's on the net that do these imports, might check with them to get a real world estimate of cost and time.
