LOOK FOR THE RIGHT SCOPE

WHAT SCOPE SHOULD I BUY THAT WILL GIVE ME MORE BRIGHTNESS AT DUSK ?
I CAN'T PICK UP THE DEER IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS, I AM USING AN OLD WEAVER 2.5-X-8-X-40 VARIABLE.ON A 722 REM IN .257 CAL.
SHOULD I BUY ONE WITH A 50MM LENS AND ILLUMINATED RECTICLE ?
I WANT IT TO A 3X9 VARIABLE.
I CAN SPEND ABOUT $200.00

IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT

    Check the auctions. This is just one of them 14368416. I don't know him but this is just one that I have found. There are others. I have had good luck with BSA scopes.

    The burris signature series with the illuminated dot reticle works VERY WELL for me at dusk,...and 20 minutes after that as well. these scopes transmit lots of light and the red dot works like a charm to not over brighten the reticle,..so you can still make out the shape of the deer.

    During the day,..she has a standard plex crosshair just like any other scope.

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

    my vote in your price and magnification range would be either the docter or a burris signature in a used scope if you can stumble upon one...dont think you will be happy or making great gains buy purchasing new in the two hundred dollar range, but having said that, I havent tried the new vari x1 or the bushnell elites..

    Another vote for the Burris Signature. The new optics are transmit far more light than the old because of the lens coatings. Unlike JustC, I am not a fan of bells and whistles and things that can quit working when you need them. I think you will find the relativly haevy reticle on the Burris plex is easily visible in low light making the illuminated reticle another gemmick to break. Posi lock is worth the extra few dollars.

    I really like the Leupold VX-1 3-9 X 40. At that price range, this is what I would ( & did) buy.
