Info on Ruger number 1 AB
Can anyone give me information on the Ruger Number 1 AB? These haven't been produced by Ruger for some time. I have an AB in .270 and really like the gun. I'm interested in info anyone may have. Thanks

The No.#1 AB has a 22" lightweight barrel with sights and has a beavertail forearm. There was a very scarce production run of these in serial number range 132-188824 to 132-40986 in I believe 1981 to 1983.. Sometime the S22L is called a AB but the S22L was the designation given to that configuration to the first 8437 No.#1's produced and they are refered to as non-prefixed. I have no information on the exact number of AB's produced but the .223 would be the most common and all of them somewhat scarce. 0
