Do you know what a model 10 with a 2 inch barrel weighs empty? Is it rated to shoot +P loads? Are the Colt Cobra & Detective Special rated for +P?

  Can not help you too much, but I have a Colt Detective Special DSll in Stainless that is rated for 38+P. As to the rest of your question can't help much, hang in there am sure some one can give you an answer. Welcome aboard, sure you will like it here as much as I do!! Best, Bob

  I doubt if the Cobra is +P rated. It's an older aluminum alloy frame, and they don't seem to care for a steady diet of +Ps.

  The manual I have for a 1982 agent or cobra states that after 1000 rounds of 38 +p ammo in an aluminum frame gun the pistol should be sent back to the Colt factory for service as it will be out of spec.
