Silly question
Hi, I am a wife of a gun man... I wanted to get him one of those "fund jars" ... but, one that had "gun fund" on the front... has anyone ever seen one of these types of jars?

found a site that sells the norincos but there in canda and cant import them the price is only 399.00[V] 0 -
LRB, Fulton Armory, Armscorp, Springfield Armory Inc, & maybe a couple of other US companies make M14-clones. (Springfield Armory has a copyright on the name M1A for theirs.) All companies make good quality rifles, but all are expensive.
Norinco & Polytech made some clones in the early 1980s; the importer obfuscated his identity, & they were sold "as is". Some owners have used theirs extensively without problem; others have had to spend $400-700 to fix problems with soft parts (bolt, sights, trigger group). They sell in the $600-700 range in the US.
I think that your best bet would be to find an early Springfield Armory Inc with all USGI parts (current SA Inc M1A's use many poor quality cast parts). I've seen them < $1,000 recently. If that exceeds your budget, I think you should pass, rather than buy a Chicom that could mean expensive headaches.
