Colorado whitetails ?
anyone know a spot in colorado where a guy has a reasonable chance of taking a whitetail? i drive through the platteville area daily and occasionally see them , but know of no one that allows hunting on their property and most of the puplic lands are home to mulies only...

There are stretches along the South Platte River that are owned by the Game & Fish, or are leased by them, for public hunting. The river bottom is noted for large whitetail populations. Only thing is, the WD present in the deer in the area. Check with the Colo G&F for exact locations, both of lands and infected deer.
