to scope or not to?

hi im getting a new crossbow and i have no idea whether or not to use a scope or pin sights...i wanna know what is best?( more accurate)

hunting= 50% luck + 45% in the right place at the right time + 5% experience

    hunting= 50% luck + 45% in the right place at the right time + 5% experience " u have it all wrong "....1st u make your own luck, 2nd being in the rite place comes with experence, which you should have with any firearm ever before stepping into the woods as for a scope,goes ,probably, would make any weapon more accurate ... in the hands of an experenced person

    If your eyesight is good then I'd use pins because it has a very wide field of view and is fine for the ranges you'll use it at. However, if you have trouble with open rifle sights, or in this case pins, then I'd scope it and use a low powered scope (maybe only 1x)

    bambi definitely has it right, i have bad eyesight so i use a scope. if you still have good eyes, definitely good ol iron sights will be best

    You just have find out which one is more comforatable for you to shoot, in the hands of the right person with the range that the crossbow has pin sight can be just as accurate as a scope. They both have advantages as bambi has stated the pin sights give you a broader field of view. One of the advantages of a scope is the light gathering capability allowing you to stay out in the woods longer. If you have bad eyesight at least in my state lasers are legal just my .02.

    Definitely scope for hunting. a) make out the antlers through the brush b) The big bucks come out in the laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast few moments of light.

    ....I never met a gun I didn't like!
