Winchester Model 54 - safety modification
I have a Winchester model 54 bolt action rifle and would like to have the safety changed. It currently has a safety which is a Mauser style and would like to change it over to one that is similar to that of a Model 70.
My father has one and his safety has been modified to be like the model 70 but I have been unable to find anyone or any parts to do this application. Everyone I have talked to says it is not possible but it must have been based on my father's 54.
His apperas as if the shroud on the safety is an aftermarket application. ANY help would be appreciated!

they used to make a conversion kit for this (williams?) but i haven't seen one for years. check on the auctions here or e-barf you might get lucky. 0 -
Try Brownells www.brownells.com I know that they used to carry them and maybe they still do. 0
