1891Remington Mosin nagat questions

Would theese shoot modern ammo?
Are they an easy find, Like at gunshows?
Are they an accurate rifle?

Sorry for all the questions but I saw one for the first time
on the general forum. I don`t know much about rifles but I
think this one`s gonna be added to my hunt list.

Did they have remington stamped on them?

  (2) U S companies were given contracts to manufacture Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant Rifles during the First World War.
  
  New England Westinghouse and Remington Arms, between them were suppose to furnish over 1.5 million rifles to Csarist Russia. The October revolution ended the contracts.
  
  The above rifles are no different from any other Mosin-Nagant of that era as far as safety or accuracy is concerned.
  
  There hard to find in factory original, collectors condition. If you run across one in good shape at a gun show, get it.

  I've got 4 model 91s and 19 versions of subsequent models and shoot modern ammo in all of them. Make sure the headspace is OK on any you shoot. There are usually some of these at gunshows, but the original 1891 is getting a little scarce. Most big wholesalers sell later models and Southern Ohio Guns has a special on 91/30s and 38s for $59.95 this month. As to accuracy, mine are all consistent enough to hunt deer. Keep in mind that those models that take bayonets were usually sighted in with the bayonet on and some sight work may be necessary. The Finnish version, the Model 39, would generally be the most accurate. Relatively few 1891s were built by Remington and they usually bring a higher price from collectors. I Think these are fun guns, partly because the ammo is cheap, and try to shoot one every day.
