1895 Nagant shootable ammo

I researched long and hard and found that .32 S&W Long and .32 H&R Magnum are safe for use in the Nagant. If you plan to shoot only for the experience either will work fine. The brass will expand and there will be some spitting but thats what glasses are for. Its a lot cheaper to fire a box of either of these than it is to buy a second cylinder that may need fitting or to buy the dies, etc., to reload. Reloading is no problem if you have the tools and dies, lots of good info on the web.


Its a fun gun. I may buy a second to get a production date I want rather then spend money on accessories for the first.

    Century is about to add this caliber to their hotshot line, so finally we will have true, shootable ammo. Should run about $8 per box of 50 initially I'm told.
