laws for carrying a pistol in Maryland

Does anyone know where I can go to find out about carrying a pistol legally in Maryland? My son wants to find out the procedeure for this.A websight would even help. Thanks

  You may want to phone the Maryland State Police at 1-800-525-5555.
  
  You didn't indicate if your son wants to carry a pistol openly, or if he wants a concealed carry permit; they will need to know that.
