Is Lake City 1972 vintage M2 Ball Ammo non-corrosive and re-loadable? Thanks in advance for your replies.

  Griz.... yes and yes. It is non-corr and boxer primed, so its easily reloadable.
  The way to identify boxer versus berdan primed cases is to look into a spent case. The boxer cases will have a single flash hole in the center, and the berdan cases will have 2 offset holes that look like a snake bite.

  The last of the US corossive was made around 1957.
  You will have to remove the primer crimp from that brass before you can re-prime it.

  And....to remove the crimp you need either a special "swaging" die, or a "swager", as sold by Dillon.

  griz, only disagreement I have with the above data is that Lyman used to make a neat little hand tool which could be inserted into the primer pocket and with a quick twist, one can simply cut off the lip left by the primer. Works waaaaaaay easier than the swaging tools IMHO - just be careful to hold it straight so no material is removed from the wall of the pocket itself. I've reworked uncountable thousands of military this way over the past mumble years . . . slicker 'n a trout!

  6 of 1, 1/2 dozen of the other i guess....but i found it easier to pull a handle to swage easier than twisting each round to get the burr off. for some reason i always liked the tighter fit going into a swaged primer pocket. either way.....enjoy!

  I have swaged lots of 5.56 and 7.62 brass on my Dillon swager, but I have since started using another quicker way.
  
  I have an oval shaped carbide cutter that I use in my Dremel tool.
  The same cutter works great in both large and small primer pockets.
  I "kiss" each primer pocket lightly and it removes just enough metal to do away with the crimp.
  It is much faster that putting the brass one at a time on and off the swager. I can do the process in about 1/3 to 1/2 the time it took on the swager.
