22 lr target pistol

found a kimber target 11 22cal AS. 1st prod...wow!!! how does this compare with buckmark bullseye 7.25"....walther p22...beretta neos...etc..any advice appreciated ... thanks

    none are anything that i'd bet a 22 match on. if it goes bang...great! otherwise, its just another gun.

    I don't know much about the original gun you're referring to, but there are several target .22s that are better and sometimes cheaper than a previously suggested S&W Mod. 41. The Mod.41 is a classic, so you're often paying a premium just for that.

    Other good target grade .22s worth looking at:
    Walther GSP - One of the top grade target .22 pistols. Costs around $1300 or so. One of the top choices for many Olympic shooters.

    Pardini SP - see it at www.nygord-precision.com Another olympic quality gun, but at a cheaper price. I think this is one of better bargains around. If you shop around, you can sometimes find these for around $600, but often around $800 used.

    IZH35 - Probably one of the BEST bargains for target .22s around. Russian olympic/international shooters used them. You can often find them for around $350 NEW. They look a little rough, but they work. Walther takes them, polishes them up to look better and gives them better grips and sells them for over double the price as the KSP 200.

    Ruger MkII - The MkII can be accurized a great deal so that it's as accurate as anything out there.

    I owned a Walther, but sold it in order to get a Pardini and have some cash left over. I'm pretty happy with my Pardini SP and feel it's as good as my Walther was. I also have a Ruger MkII and feel the Pardini SP is light years ahead of it.
