Win. 32 special value?
I have a chance to buy a Winchester model 94 in 32 special serial number 1837XXX in good condition, normal wear but nothing major. Is this a 1951 and what is the value and is there a market for this gun? The guy says to make an offer. Thanks.

You got the date right. As far as the value goes one in good condition here in Maine would be worth around $250.00. It really depends on your location.

A 1951 winchester in 32 spl. has nowhere to go but up in value, offer him $150.00 and go from there, the price ATF mentioned is probably minium for a good pre 32spl. If the the guy takes a buck and a half try not to grin 'till after your out the door. I have an old 1951 Marlin 336SC in 32spl and I wouldn't part with it for $300.00 with factory ammo she shoots like the bolt gun guns say lever can't shoot. inside a quarter at 100 and on a good day it could flip nickles at 100 if I did my part.[8D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

the value of this gun, and the demand for it is at an all time high. the recent onset in popularity of SASS and COWBOY ACTION SHOOTING have caused a sharp spike in both value and demand for this gun, especialy considering its PRE-64 production status.
i would place a real world value of no less then $500.00 for this piece. even allowing for aprox. 80% condition, and a chambering that some people dislike, it is worth far more that quoted above.
any and all cowboy related or connected guns are currently commanding a premium. this goes double for authentic, all original, vintage name brand guns. the `86, `73, `94, and other pre-64 winchester guns are realizing higher prices at the shows, shops, and auctions than is reflected in current pricing guides.
even guns in poor shape, in less desirable chamberings are being snapped up and resored or refinished. best regards, mike.

I have a win 32spl you will not be disappointed with it even if you have to give $300 for it. Here in tn the shells are a little harder to find but they are coming back and worth more everyday 0 -
