Rangefinders

I am looking at a Leica 800 rangefinder and a Bushnell Yardage Pro Legend rangefinder. They are priced about the same. Does anyone have any ideas, preferences, or comments to help me make a decision?

    Looking to buy a rangefinder. Maybe Nikon or Bushnell. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons. I want it for hunting deer. Why would I be looking @ a reflective target? I need to range across hills and in the open. Your experience would be appreciated.

    I have the bushnell and I absolutly love it I have come to believe it is the greatest thing since sliced bread I don't know about the leica as I have never used it.

    If your considering the Leica 800 why not up it just a little and consider the Leica 900 that scans. Probably a little more in price but a nice option.

    I've got a Busnell yardage pro 800 compact. The furthest i've shot with it so far is a tree at 737 yards. I like it, it hardly weighs anything. It's got several different modes, rain, <150, brush, and regular mode. I paid $269.99 for it.

    i put out the cash for the leica 900. i am not sorry i did

    i had a bushnell 400 worked fine up to 375 yards did what it was made for i have scanned to 966 yards with the leica i tried three different brands that advertised cabable of 1500 was not able to get 500 out of any of them. leica does what it says

    the leica will have better optics and may range better under less than ideal conditions i would sugguest you purchase it instead of the bushnell

    I have the Leica LRF800. It is excellent. A friend told me about it after using a Bushnell he switched to the Leica and said it was amazing.

    Is the leica waterproof. The YP legend is. Also the legend will range a deer at 450 yards. I don't know much about the leica but the legend is nice for more sats got to

    I do not know about Leica being waterproof or not but it is bombproof. I have abused mine repeatedly (dropped, banged around in the pickup and golf cart, flopped around while tied to my saddle, ect.) and it never missed a beat. Excellent does not even begin to describe it. Just think of the quality of the name Leica, now think of the quality of the name Bushnell. Enough said.[;)]

    I have used the bushnell 600yd deal and found it to be inconsistent. I have used a friends Leica Geovid (granted I know it's not the same thing) and it is "dead nuts" accurate. I ranged a target at 965yds,..then took one step foreward,..964yds,.then 1 step back 965yds. I have yet to get the bushnell to repeat like this.

    This is just my experience,..your mileage may vary.

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
