Can someone tell me the difference between Glock 34 and Glock 19 mags?

A buddy of mine recently went to a gun show in hopes of trading 4 13rd factory glock mags (9mm) on a new hand gun. What he found were dealers selling identical mags for $85 and offering him $25 each for his. One dealer told him that his were non-drop free and only worth $25. Any truth to any of this? What should he expect to get for these mags in a private sale or on GB auction. Many Thanks!

Glock 34 mags are the same mag as the Glock 17 mag, standard full size. If made before the ban they hold 17rds, now of course they are only 10rd. The 19 and its mags are slightly shorter. In the pre-ban configuration they held 15rds. You could use the longer 17/34 mags in the 19, but the 19's mags would be too short to lock into the 34.
