Info on Autauga MKII .32's

I've been looking at a "deep conceal" pistol that is very small, something like a Kel-tec .32. Someone ran across this pistol and brought it to my attention (thanks - you know who you are). They are heavier, but smaller. Does anyone have any experience with them?

    These pistols were developed to take advantage of the demand for the Seecamp LWS 32, back when the waiting period was years. To me, the extra weight and extra thickness make it farless desirable than the Kel-Tec P32. However, the BIG disadvantage to me is that it is a blow-back action rather than a locked breech like found on the P32. The recoil will be substantially more than on the P32. The P32 also holds an extra round. I have chosen the P32 over every other pistol in its size and power category.

    n my opinion, if absolute small size is the primary criterion, rather than weight or recoil or capacity, the Seecamp is probably the best choice. To me, the tiny bit of extra size of the P32 is well offset by its light weight, slimness, locked breech and extra round.

    Now the Kel Tec P3AT is out. 380 and almost same size as p32

    Back when Autauga and NAA were announcing both of their Seecamp knockoff's I liked the look of the Autauga a little better than the NAA Guardian so I kept in touch with the Company.. The Autauga kept having problems in releasing their pistol. In fact, I don't think the Augauga is even being produced anymore, but I'm not sure. I purchased a Guardian. The Guardian is produced by North American Arms with a lifetime guarantee and fantastic customer service. There is no Firearms Company out there with a better interest in keeping the customer happy than North American Arms. Every article I've read says the Guardian is a much improved Seecamp. You can use many brands of ammunition in it as the Seecamp is recommended by the manufacturer as only accepting Winchester Silvertips. The Guardian is easier to disassemble for cleaning, and has sights (tho worthless) where the Seecamp doesn't. Also, the NAA Guardian is cheaper initially to buy. There are a myriad of accessories available thru the factory, as well as after-market. BUT, if I were to buy a new Guardian, I would opt for the just released Guardian in the new 32cal NAA caliber. This round is rated as being much better than the original 32cal bullet. It was designed and produced by Cor-Bon expressly for this new Guardian. It will NOT function in the standard 32cal Guardian (Shucks..) I've recently read where a conversion barrel in 32NAA for the very popular Makarov is now being produced. So I guess the 32NAA round is here to stay. Finally, I've never shot one, but the kel-tec has a great reputation as being a quality pistol at a very reasonable price. I would suggest you actually see and hold all three before deciding. Oftentimes "hands on" can help your decision. Finally, I was happy enough with my original Guardian that I purchased another for the wife.
