FN 49 Pistol

Would anyone have experience with this pistol in terms of recommendation? Caliber, reliability, thanks. Bill

    No bud, the FN49 is a pistol. It's available in 9mm and .40S&W. Never have shot the fun, but I have heard a few good things about it. Just wanted to correct "king" though.

    I own a forty-nine in 40 S&W and have fired exactly 200 rounds through it with no malfunctions. It is an excellent gun for the money, the trigger is heavy, but manageable with practice.

    Sorry, you haven't "corrected" me. The FN49 is a rifle. If there is a pistol that goes by that moniker now, fine. That is why I requested verification "Kid".

    However, for those us that have been around guns for a looooong time, "FN49" conjures up the image of the semi-auto rifle.

    I haven't flown since leaving the service. Not even commercial. I sure do miss it though. Perhaps a jaunt in Civil Aviation may be in my future.
