Fabrica De Armas Oviedo 1901
I am trying to obtain some additional information on two weapons that I have.
Both are marked with Fabrica de Armas Oviedo, one is legible with 1901, the other is legible with 1__2 there is a hole were the __ is. The 1__2 looks considerably older than the other.
I would appreciate any leads as to where I might find some additional information on how to identify these weapons.

You very likely have a pair of Model 1893 Mausers, which your information indicates were manufactured at the Oviedo Arsenal in Spain. Most military rifle reference books will have information on your rifles. 0 -
Hey, I have one. Your the only other person I've came in contact with who also has a Fabrica De Armas Oviedo Mauser. Tell me, is your's sporterized, or in original configuration? 0 -
I think they are in the original configuration although there are alot of holes in one of them.

I just picked up 10 of these barreled actions on the auction site from a guy who has another 90 or so. Most will require new barels but will make good winter projects and helped with parts for one I had already started.
