After being stolen, used in a crime and dumped in the woods for about 6 months and left in a garage for about 6 years an old Ruger P89 is coming back to life. The lower came through it all looking good and the gun, after oiling and cleaning (alot of oiling) functions perfectly. The slide, being stainless, didn't rust and definitely "stained - less" than blued steel but it is discolored. It almost cleans up great with careful sanding and I should be happy with that, but I'd like to have the slide refinished. I don't like the spray on "dura coat" stuff, but I do want to have it refinished and am leaning toward hard chrome or another "stainless" colored finish. Any suggestions? Ruger is probably out because they want the whole gun and shipping gets expensive.
Any suggestions on who to use?0 -
Get a price from glock to do it.
It might be less expensive than you think.0
