45 Super?

I was loading a bunch of 45's today and came across a couple 45 Super cases from Starline mixed in with my 45 ACP brass. They appear identical, can I load my 45ACP rounds using the 45 Super brass?
    Thanks

They MIGHT be heavier? I would weigh some and compare the weight to the normal brass you use.

If they are heavier, put them aside and just load them together. Their internal capacity would be less.

The 45 Super is basically a 45 ACP casing with thicker walls in the base area to allow higher pressure loads in 45 Super guns

Do you think its safe to use them to load my 45 acp's? I don't load near max so if its just a matter of thicker case walls, it shouldn't be a problem?

I've heard that some folks use the 45 Super cases since they are less prone to bulging.

You can use 45 Super cases for loading 45 ACP. But approach "maximum" loads with caution since there will be less case volume.

Is it safe? Probably (if your loads are under max), but if you mix them in with ACP cases, the rounds loaded in the .45 Super cases will have a higher velocity and a different point of impact. Would make it more difficult to judge the accuracy of your reloads.[:(]

In other words, the Super cases have the same external dimensions as the ACP's, but internally they're smaller. The same powder charge weight in an internally smaller case will give higher velocity and chamber pressure.... and lower POI.

Thanks for all the info, I am going to separate out the 45 Super cases and save them for someone who loads that round.
