Ruger10/22 folding stock

I have an early Ruger10/22 with what appears to be a factory folding stock...but have been told by people that Ruger never sold a Factory folding stock 10/22....looks exactly like the factory folders on the mini-14s....any info would be greatly appreciated....thanks

  Looks like your freinds are right, I can't find any listings for a factory folding stock on a 10/22. But there are many people on this board who know a whole lot more than me, so we'll see. Are there any markings on the stock?

  did not see any identifying on the outside of stock....have not removed stock yet....was wondering if there were any aftermarket companies that duplicated the "originals"....looked at many aftermarket companies..."butler creek etc." but nothing comes close
