Colt SAA Buntline Box?
I have a third generation Buntline Special that came in a huge (barrel length) brown cardboard box with the Colt label on the flap. But nothing in the box but the revolver. what was the interior packaging like? Were they all cased? Or the usual styrofoam? Just curious!

tomh, I can't say how the Buntlines came but I have a pair of the first produced third generation Colt SAA's in 7 1/2" bbl. They both came in the brown boxes with molded styrafoam that held the revolver. The styrafoam was in two pieces. Both top and bottom pieces were molded to fit the revolver. 0 -
The 12" barrel colts came in the brown box with foam on each side of them. No styrofoam. I had 3 of them and thats how all of them were 0 -
Thanks guys! That's what I got, but it seemed weird? 0
