Colt factory letter

A couple of months back there was a question as to the time frame for receiving a factory letter from the Colt Historian. In my own case I wanted a new letter for my Colt Agent, printed with my own name rather than the previous owner. I sent $35 to Colt on 26 July and received a postcard from Colt confirming payment dated 04 August, and on 26 November the factory letter arrived...4 months total. This was for a firearm which had already been researched and lettered so more time could well be needed in the case of an unresearched firearm.

    Again thank you for the info. Last one I requested was a couple of years ago and didn't take but a couple of months. Any idea time wise for a letter from Cody on a Marlin?

    Hello punchie...

    A factory letter from the Cody Firearms Museum (Waddy Colvert) for a Winchester, Marlin, or L.C. Smith only takes 7 - 10 days for members, and 2 - 3 weeks for non members. Cost is quite reasonable also... $55.00 for non members, which is SIGNIFICANTLY better than what Colt dings people for[V]
