Gibbs rifle any good?

I was kind of thinking on buy one but know nothing about them.
I would get one in a 303 or 308 not sure yet which is better.
Is their a scope mount for them?
What is the differnce in the jungle series and quest series?

    These rifles are just modified Enfields. I don't own one but I've handled a few at my local shop. They seem well put together. I like Enfields but stick with the original design. Good shooters and very sturdy. The 308 is alot easier to get a good variety of ammo for. Scope mounts should be available. Your local gunshop should be able to help you.

    Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.

    Gibbs has scope mounts aviable for there rifels. Just stay away from the Squre-B mounts thay are way to high and make the rifel hard to load from the top. There is a company called Cad tec nic that makes a realy neat mount that resembels the sniper scope mount used on the No4 from WWII through Veitnam.
    I would go with the .303 it is based on the No4 Enfield. The .308 is is built from a No1 style rifel that was produced during the 60s by the factory in Isapore India.

    I have the Quest model with muzzel brake in .303. These are really tough, proven rifles. You can bet your arse on one of these babies. Gibbs seems to take excellant rifles and finish them off nicely. I'm not sure if they are strong enough to fire the .308 constently, a lot higher pressure than the .303 it was originaly made for. The peep sight model is faster on target than the open sight models. If you worry about rust in your area, then get the Nickel plated quest models.Theres not much differance in the power for the .308 and .303, but .308 surplus ammo is easier to find.
