I_slaughter_whitetail
I have a question for the people that know alot about 870 s. I have one that Remington told me via email it was made in 1950. It has silver inlays on both sides of the receiver. It is a full choke. Has anyone ever seen one and would you know a ballpark value. Thank you for your help.

    Ok I have a single shot 16 gauge and 2 22's. My dad says I should buy a 870 before I buy a predator gun. So what should I do? Oh and I thank you for the help. Now I'm gong to buy a 223. like you guys said and some day when I have the extra money I'll buy a 17HMR. Ok good bye.

    Well I'd use the 223. upnorth whenever I go hunting and I use the 870 for rabbit, trap, sporting clays, and duck. And we have a 12 gauge reloader not 16 gauge. And they only sell 12 gauge shells. So it would be alot easier than shooting my 16 gauge.

    sounds to me like the 870 would fill more uses right now. i'd go for the 870. wait for the fad fever of the 17cal to die off and youll get them cheaper later on.

    Hello, you can get a Savage .17 HMR cheaper than any new 870 I've ever seen. Where do you guys shop??

    We shop everywhere really. We dont go to one certain spot. A friend told me of this place so I came here. I also go to bunny hunts and other turnaments and win mine usaly. I got one 22 from my dad, it's a 4 generation gun. And my other 22 I won at a bunny hunt. And my 16 gauge I got from my grandpa.
