SASS Shooters - Marlin 1894 question

I am getting ready to start with SASS and would like to know if anyone has had any experience with shooting 44 specials with the Marlin lever action in 44 mag. I want to stay with 44's vs. 45LC as my SA revolvers are 44 mag, but wonder if there have been any problems using the shorter 44 specials in the rifle.
