UPS Shipping-Thanksgiving Holiday
Bought a pistol that I want to use this weekend.
Had it shipped yesterday (Wed.) from Connecticut "Over-night".
To Nebraska.
I realize that there will be no delivery today; but even though
UPS is not making regular deliveries tomorrow (Fri.)--Will it still
be delivered, since it was "Over-nighted"?

Spring,
You should be able to track the shipment on the UPS website.

this morning and is "Intransit".
Status: Overnight
Tracking # is: 02757029146
Anybody is welcome to "Track" it and see what materializes.0 -
I SHIP FOR A LIVING. NDA WILL BE DELIVERED ON FRI. SO BARRING ANY UNFORESEEN PROBLEMS , YOU SHOULD GET IT TOMORROW.
CHORKIE
BTW, THAT IS NOT A COMPLETE TRACKING # , IT SHOULD START WITH "1Z" AND IS MUCH LONGER THAN THE # YOU GAVE. GO BACK TO THE UPS TRACKING PAGE AND ENTER YOUR # AND THEN CLICK ON THE "DETAILS" BOX FOR COMPLETE INFO.

Why in the world would anyone use ups anyway? They have a real high breakage and thieft rate. Use USPS if you want it to get where it is suppose to. Yes, it is legal to ship throught the USPS. 0 -
44 MAG- I WOULD HAVE TO DIS-AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT UPS 'S LOSS AND BREAKAGE RATE COMPARED TO USPS. I HAVE BEEN A SHIPPING MGR FOR 10 YEARS NOW (SOMETIMES SHIPPING AS MANY AS 1400 PKGS A DAY) AND ALSO HAVE HAD OVER 1000 SALES ON EBAY, AND UPS GIVES FAR BETTER SERVICE THAN USPS ( AND I SAY THAT EVEN THOUGH MY BROTHER IS IN UPPER MGTMT AT USPS).

"Chuckles" THE CAPS <--common problem
i have to say i ship UPS unless its a small item like a book, i worked for a UPS type company (Consolidated Freightways) & the stuff wasnt mishandled intentionally.
besides no firearms via USPS if im not mistaken..0 -
Maybe I had better back up just a tad bit. You can legaly send long guns through the USPS if, they go to a holder of a FFL or C&R license. As far as who is the better shipper, I have had nothing but bad experiances with ups. In order to send a gun I have to drive 52 miles one way to a ups center, then they give me grief by opening the box to check contents and them try to make me reseal it. Guess you know what I told them! They have broken a number of stocks that I have purchased from others. Then they try and say the item was not packaged properly to get out of paying the insurance claim. Personaly, I will not accept or send anything through ups. After all, they didn`t get the name Unreliable Poor Service by shipping items properly as USPS does. 0 -
Spring,
Did ya get your gun today buddy? Did ole UPS come through? Let us know....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
But NOT the fault of UPS.
The gun I was "Expecting" I find out (according to UPS) had been addressed incorrectly (Wrong Zip Code) and thus did not get delivered.
I am waiting for an explanation from the sender as to why it was
not addressed as shown on FFL.
Just check the tracking AND now it's scheduled for Dec. 1st. Monday.
This transaction (NOT GunBroker), has been a REAL Pain in the A$$ from Day 1, so I guess I should not be amazed at this turn of events.
I'll Update!0 -
I echo the sentiments regarding poor UPS service. I have had shippments wonder all over the US due to repeated misroutings. The Columbus, OH office seems to be the worst. Right now I have a package that's been "in transit" for 11 days!! I do not use UPS unless that's my only option. I have had FAR better results with FedEx ground. Never any damage and always MAX 4 days in route. 0
