Picked up a blued, 4" six shoot Colt rev. with factory checkered grips. Don't know model number. It does read Police Positive . Serial #500045 Do you have age or value of such a pistol as this in poor ,...light surfacr rust , but very tight and safe to shoot? Thanks, gentlemen for your wealth of collective knowledge. Steve

    Hi Steve,
I think the experts need more info such as caliber, at this point the range of values would be quite varied, also a good photo to better judge condition. Rust can sometimes be removed, pits are a different matter.

Steve: Police Positive is the name of the model; I never encounterd a number associated with these. Rockford is right; we'll need more information to give you a value, but whatever the caliber if it is "very tight" it probably is safe to shoot with standard velocity ammo (not +P).
