Could any of you tell me what the Headspace Maximum should be on a Winchester Pump Shotgun?

Could you also tell me how I can check the Headspace without a Headspace Gage?

  'how i can check headspace with out a headspace guage', this isn't a 'ma duce', take it to a gunsmith if you are haveing problems.

  I think I remember reading sometime ago as to how you can check Headspace with some rigid shim material.Maybe hard plastic.Shims of differant thickness.Kind of like a Go or No-Go Gage.
