I just purchase one. New in the box - original model before Hi Standard. Can you give me any information on keeping it running smoothly? Is there a secret to keeping the gas ports clean? Any special lubricants or tricks?

Had one, never had the problems you are having. My first thought would be to give it a thorough clean and lube. If he didn't shoot it much (a common thing as .22mag is/was expensive to shoot), it may not be "run in" yet. I'd say clean and lube, take it out and run a couple boxes thru it it and clean and lube again to see how things are.

I have run probably 150 rounds through it, and I keep it spotless perhaps it is the lube I am using outer gun slick. any other suggestions?
    Thanks,

CCI'S WILL WORK FINE IN MY GUN. YOU MUST KEEP THE CHAMBER EXTRA CLEAN, NO LUBE THERE. GOOD LUCK

I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.

There are some holes in the chamber (part of the gas system) that must be clear for the weapon to function.

With a stiff copper wire bent like a golf club, probe in the chamber and clear them. The manual does not say anything about these holes, but they are of vital importance.

    Good luck.

A notice that comes with the gun says that it may not function with CCI ammo loaded with flake powder but works o.k. with ammo loaded with ball powder.
The pistols have been factory tested with Winchester Magnum Rimfire cartridges.
I doubt that this test was very extensive, - they all seem to have this jamming problem, at first anyway.
