Buffalo Bill consecutive set value?
My Dad needs to sell his pair of unfired in box Buffalo Bill commemoratives. They have consecutive serial numbers. I THINK one is a carbine? Some guy said he'd pay $1200 for the set. Is this fair? Thanks for all your help - I can't afford to buy them and I want to make sure he gets all he can for them!

Blue Book 23rd edition says..$450 for rifle, $425 for carbine, add $50 to $75 to total for both. He offered you a reasonable price, but it would be a shame to let them go unless it's really necessary.

He should be all over that $1200 !!!
Realistically those guns are worth $400 each at best. I've owned (or been stuck with) a few winchester commemoratives and I have to tell you that "book values" are a figment of somebodies imagination. The only good thing to say about them is that with regular Ranger models being $300 anyway that they are a great value at $400 as shooters! You'll have the coolest rifle in the deer woods.

GET THE $1200.00 AS SOON AS YOU CAN. THAT IS AT LEAST $200.00 OVER THE MARKET. AS HIM IF HE NEEDS ANOTHER SET.
I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.0 -
Wellll..Both rrfghunter and duckhunter have a point..That's likely the very most you can ever expect for them, but they're just so darn purty..

Thank you gentlemen! I thought that was a good deal but wanted to hear from the experts. I appreciate your help!
