Benjamin Air Rifle Co. St. Louis USA (model) 312

I picked up a "Benjamin Franklin" air rifle, CAL 22; H82179
I wanted year of manufacture & value.
Can anyone send me in the right direction?
I've heard I can get parts from Franklin-Sheridan.
Thanks.
I found some on line after finding the model number. Mine might get $50, $75 tops.

    I have a copy of the Airgun Bluebook 1st(2001). It says the Model 340 Series, which includes your rifle, "BB smoothbore, .17 or .22 rifled barrel, similar to Model 310 Series by has center position tang safety, traditional grooved "corn-cob". chedkered or smooth walnut pump handle. 100% $125; 99% $115; 95% $100; 90% $90; 80% $80; 70% $70; 60% $60.

    add 15% for corn-cob grooved handle
    add 10% for Williams peep sight
    add 15% fpr 4x15 scope
    add 10% for box and instruction sheet

    I've got a model 312 I bought used in the late 1960's. My best guess is that mine dates from the early 60's as it was fairly new at the time. The Serial # of mine is in the H300,000's. Yours being in the 80,000's is older and has the old and nicer rear sight than mine.

    These are good airguns. If I remember right my used airgun cost twice as much as several used single shot .22 rimfire rifles by it in the hardware store at the time.

    Wow! I moved my Benjy out of his home in the kitchen closet and promoted him to the gun rack after reading this article LOL

    BTW the picture of your airgun's right side shows that the hammer has been dropped against the safety. Cock the gun with the bolt handle like it says on the side, lift the safety and drop the hammer. The darn small screw holding the safety can't be too tight for the safety to work and always works its way loose on these causing the safety to drop on it's own. It just may be the lighting in the photo, but it does not look like the original screw. If it's from a bin at the hardware store (which is where my replacement would have come from back then) It may continue to cause trouble. The safety on these airguns is a big deal. They have a hair trigger and tend to go off while pumping air or loading a pellet.

    My Pa-in-law gave me his Benjamin Franklin
    model 347 .177cal over a year ago.It wouldn't
    pump up anymore so I put some oil in it to
    swell the seals but it never came back to life.
    It sat in the corner of my office until last week
    when I finally found a local guy that rebuilds
    them.Can't wait to get it back(after Thanksgiving).
    Those English sparrows are really starting to
    annoy me.[}:)][}:)]

    I wore out a couple of BB guns when I was a kid,
    but went straight to a .22 rifle.I can't believe
    I'm this excited about my first pellet gun at 49.[:p]
