7mm-08
Any feedback from you on 7mm-08 vs .308.
Most likely if getting the 7mm I'll be hand loading.
(no I don't have a manuel....and an aquantance will be doing the loading since he's done that for 22 years now)
Is there much difference in ballistics? Exspecially down range.
Thank You!

Does anyone know why none of the BIG THREE offer this caliber in their heavy varmint rifles? The laminated stocks and medium heavy barrels make these a natural for silhouetta but the 6mm has proven too light and the 308 is a little much.

I also use the 7mm-08.for deer.I would say to sight in 2 inches high at 100yds.This should put you dead on at 200 and only about 7 inches low at 300.Should hit any deer out to 300 without holdover. 0 -
I usually set mine at 2 1/2" high at 100yds. But I shoot a little farther than most. Out to 400yds. With 2 1/2" high at 100yds I hold dead on at 350 and a little high at 400. Worked for me so far.
Everyone has a photographic memory. Only some have film.0
