Good Pistol Scope

I have a 357maximum revolver and I need a good handgun scope for hunting.The gun has a simons 2.5-7 power scope on it now which was on it when I bought it,the e scope works great for target shooting but has no field of view so is hard to hunt with.First question is are there any scopes that have a good field of view? Any suggestions on what kind of scope to get would be appriciated.

  If you want magnification Bushnell makes a 2x32 that has a field of view 20ft @ 100 yards. Its not great but it might be wider than what you have. Also the Bushnell Holosight has an unlimited field of view.

  I have a Propoint (red dot) on my pistol and it is great. Field of view is unlimted, in fact,I leave both eyes open. I use it for hunting and for targets. I also have one on my 12 guage slug gun. Both work great on moving targets and are super fast on getting on target. Watch the speed shooters with pistols at a competition, and you'll see they all use some form of red dot scope. I'm usually shooting at 100 yards or less. They are not as good as a magnification scope for longer distances. Hope this helps. Chas.
