Old M1Ammo -Any Value?
Have four boxes of 50rounds, Carbine-M1 marked "Lake City Ordance". Does it have any collectors value?

If the boxes are in excellent to mint condition, they may be of interest to a collector.
Believe it or not, there is still WWII and Korea vintage ammo showing up on the market from time to time. There were a lot of people who hoarded this ammo appearently.

I will generally agree with the other poster, WW2 mfg. in orginal boxes will have some collector value. For your info all USGI .30 carbine ammo is Non-corrosive, ever the WW2 mfg. General value from a shooting prepective would be $10-12.00/box, 0 -

Your boxes have limited collector value. There was an enormous quantity of ball ammo made for the carbine which was subsequently surplused. In absolutely mint condition, manufactured circa 1944, the boxes should bring about $22. Later material is basically shooting fodder, although you might be able to realize a slight premium if someone wanted to match an ammunition date to a weapon production date for a display. Mint bandoleers with strippers or sealed spam cans likewise bring some premium, but this is pretty much the bottom of the collector market in US military ammo.0
