looking at a feg 9mm,made in hungary .looks like a copy of the browning high power .think it uses the browning high cap mags.any one have one of these ? how are they ?$200 used in excellent cond a good price?thanks in advance don

    Pelican said it and I agree!!! Most are sserviceable guns but cannot be compared to the Browning/FN. FEG seems to put more emphasis on what a gun's finish looks like instead of on more imprtant areas.

    I bought mine from a gun store here in NJ that thought it was too good to sell such a lowly gun in their shop. They took it in on a trade and sold it to me cheap.

    I have had no problems with it since I got it three years ago. I would not however, compare the workmanship to a Browning.

    Which model are you referring to? They make a fairly straightforward HiPower copy, but also a DA/SA 9mm pistol. It has the look of the HiPower, but functions more like a M59 series S&W. I believe these even use S&W magazines.

    The FEG pistols I've seen are made from decent materials and they're safe. Overall they aren't bad pistols, just not on par with the Browning or S&W.

    I have an FEG PJ9K 9mm (hipower clone) and it's been a fantastic pistol. I even installed a .41ae conversion in it that was made specifically for the Hi-Power. It required little work to get it working properly and for the most part dropped right in. Granted it isn't a true blue Browning but you can't pass one up for the price. They are tough, reliable, accurate....what more do you need in a pistol?
