scope for remington 1917
I have a Remington 1917, 30-06 and I want to know if anyone can help me, what can I do to mount a scope on this weapon without destroying the original look and value of the gun? This is a good shooter as is but my eyes fail me at times trying to shoot 200 yards thru the original sight.
Thanks in advance

B Square makes no drill mounts for most all common military weapons, but I would hesitate to use one as the original sight over time goes MIA.
Ever thought about trading or just getting another rifle?

I had one that I used a B-Square mount on back around 35 years ago, and it worked just fine.
However, I put the original rear sight into a arts bag, and stashed it in my toolbox parts drawers, so that, when I sold it, it was still with the rifle.
Ordinarily, most scope installation on the 1917 entails milling off the ears.0
